Diet Progress
I'm not on any particular programme -
just doing a kind of "only eat when I'm really hungry, and eat much
less than I used to" type regime. I'm still eating curry and
drinking beer, but trying to make sure I'm hungry. I'm trying to
learn to enjoy the hunger rather than fear and loathe it.
I'm using Weight-Watchers
(tm) points system just to measure what I'm eating most days and give me
a guide to portion size etc.

19/7/05 - Ok, back on
track - lost 2lbs this week, but am still 2lbs heavier than my best
weigh in at the end of May! Oh well, another good week and I
should be able to get back to where I was all those weeks ago.
12/7/05 - had a bit of a
break from the diet, and been away to germany where they eat nothing
other than deep fried 90% saturated fat sausages all day long! Put
on 4 lbs :-(
14/6/05 - Ok - I've
recovered from the excesses of the previous two weeks, and despite a bad
start to the week have managed to record my lowest weight to date.
Some seriously hard work cleaning windows and gardening at the weekend
helped, along with a carefully pointed up day yesterday.
7/6/05 - Well, another bad
week - 1lb on! I did have two piss-ups mid week though and an
encounter with the dreaded buffet lunch too, so maybe I should be
pleased to have only put a pound on. I'm steeling myself for a big
effort now and have decided to go for a tee-total week to see if that
helps.
31/5/05 - I've been dieting now for
10 weeks and
haven't quite lost a full stone yet - I put a pound on this week, mostly
due to a big curry on Sunday night and a lot of sweets at the cinema on
Monday night. I'm going to put a real big effort in this week
though to get my second "silver
seven" (people who've been to weight-watchers before will know
what I mean!) |
