Indian Club v. Empire Club Wednesday 11th May 2005 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Indian club were
home for the fourth match of the season
Rami started the match well for the Indian club before things took a turn for the worse with three bad losses in the next three games. Just when the match was looking beyond hope, Chris and Raj took the next two games with the loss of only one leg. Nav was just able to hang on in a tense final game to level the scores at 23 legs apiece. There then followed some confusion, the conclusion of which was that no-one int he room knew the rules to follow in the event of a tie! We submitted the card as a tie, despite the fact that the Empire wanted to play some kind of play-off game to decide the match. Empire won the beer horse and the Raffle - food was a lamb keema again, slightly milder than usual, but very tasty. |
