We were totally thrashed.  Two or three of the Abbot's players had never played before, and they still managed to beat us by some margin!  The beer horse was no consolation, they thrashed us in that too.  They even won the raffle!

The only positive that can be taken from the evening was that the curry (a thick, viscous, oily, slightly sweet lamb keema) was divine.
