Handling text is a vital part of web page design. Text
is part of the html page, where as images load on to the page separately.
Text works in the same way as word processing, but with only a few
limited options. The 'Default Font' of the web is 'Times New Roman'. After
that there are five other common fonts that are used. If you use other
fonts they will only work when browsed if the other person has that font.
So when you use special font you will need to load them as an image. Opposite
are examples of text as an image.
Hitting 'enter' will create a paragraph break as
above,
but 'Shift / enter' will move the text below with out a space as
here.
The size of text is set as default as here, but can be
given a 'Style' or 'Heading' setting. The largest setting has been given
to 'BASIC WEB PAGES TEXT' in the banner at the top of this page. |
