Built in 1908 by Ailsa Shipbuilding Co at Troon
Engines : Compound diagonal by Hutson of Glasgow
Dimensions : 200.1 ft x 24.1 ft
353 Gross Registered Tonnes

Built for the Southampton, Isle of Wight & South of England Royal Mail Steam Packet Co
Placed on the Bournemouth-Swanage service in 1908
From 1909 became the company’s main Bournemouth excursion steamer
In Admiralty service from 1915 to 1919 as HMS Bourne was stationed at various points around the British coast.
Laid up for the main season in 1939 with boiler trouble
Requisitioned in 1942, she served on the Tyne, Forth and at Fort William in World War II.
Reconditioned after the war, returning to service in July 1947
In 1949 she was relegated to the Swanage ferry service
Was based at Southampton from 1951 until withdrawal after her sailing on August 29th, 1957
Left Southampton under tow to Ghent shipbreakers on December 18th, 1957.
