In derelict and half sunken condition on the Danube
Purchased in 2001 by Swiss steamer enthusiasts for eventual return to Switzerland
The ship is planned to be rebuilt as close as possible to the style of PS Wengi of 1865
The vessel has been slipped locally and the hull found to be in good condition
The rebuilding is expected to take place at Mulhouse (France) in 2002
An eventual return to service on the River aare between Biel and Solothurn is anticipated.
