Following the
successful introduction of Denny-built turbine steamers on the Clyde,
GSN ordered a similar vessel for the Thames
Sailed on the north Kent route will occasional excursions across the
English Channel
Found to have poor manoevrability and was also unpopular with Thames
river users on account of her excessive wash
Only sailed for six seasons. In early 1912 she was sold for service
out of Trieste, Italy named Venezia
Sold in 1928 and eventually scrapped in Hong Kong in
1938
