to the grounds at the top of Henbury Hill. Limited parking available/room
nearby. You will visit parts you have not seen before.

is the time we expect to see Cherries and Magnolias in flower. Many trees will
also be in flower.
SUN IST APRIL THE ROYAL FORT GARDENS CLIFTON.
Meet outside the Hawthorns Hotel. We shall look at the Hiatt Baker Memorial Garden and the Adolph Leipner Garden as well. Allow 2hrs for this rich collection of trees.
SAT 7TH APRIL OAKLANDS ALMONDSBURY. S.GLOS.
The home of Hiatt Cowles Baker in the early C20th. Many Cherries and Magnolias .
Meet by the entrance on the A38 –next to the Motorway Police offices. Near junction 16 on the M5 (within 100 yards of the junction northwards)
FRI. 13TH APRIL OLDBURY COURT FISHPONDS (again)
One of the best collections of trees in Bristol.! Planted soon after the war in the 50s
Meet in the car park at the end of Oldbury Court Rd. Fishponds.
WED 18TH APRIL ASHTON PARK BEDMINSTER BRISTOL .
Meet at the park entrance in Ashton Rd Bedminster (near Ashton Gate-Football ground). A park we have not visited for a little while.
MON 23RD APRIL BLAISE CASTLE GROUNDS /MANSION AREA BRISTOL
Meet in the main car park with the toilets and café on the B 4057 . We shall be following the Blaise tree trail—(copies available from Mansion –cost 20p). Rare and exotic trees –plenty of history.
FRI 27T APRIL HAM GREEN (OLD HOSPITAL GROUNDS ) Nr Pill.
Some fine trees have been saved by the developers. Many will be in flower.
Meet in Macrae Rd at the junction with Ham Green on the main Rd.
Dogs welcome with leads on all except The Royal Fort Gardens Clifton .

I AM INVOLVED WITH THE FOLLOWING EVENTS---which are arranged through the Bristol Zoo Gardens -----Mandy Lievers .
This will enable you to join me if you wish. There is a small charge.
Tuesday 13th March ---A Talk I am giving about Paradise Arboretum in Leigh Woods.
Title “ Paradise Found” 7p.m to 8p.m in the Conservation Education Centre Bristol Zoo Gardens Cost £3.
Sat, 31st March Tree Gazing on the Clifton Downs 2-4p.m
Meet at the Conservation Education Centre Bristol Zoo Gdns.
Cost £3..
Tuesday 29th May Candles and Blossoms a walk on the Downs .
6.30-8.30 p.m.. Cost £3.
Meet at the Zoo Mains Entrance

14th October a walk in Paradise Bottom Leigh Woods Cost £3.
