Welcome to the web site for and about the activities of 'The Ramblers' in Cornwall.

New members and people that have come to live in Cornwall are all welcome and we hope that you will join us on walks social events and meetings.

Non members are welcome too on all walks and are invited to try out walks with different groups before joining the Ramblers.

Membership of a local walking group gives you the opportunity to meet like-minded people.

Camel group would like to know what Ramblers think about the proposal to run a steam train along the Camel Trail between Bodmin and Wadebridge.

Cornwall County Council Submits False Audit Figure

Cornwall County Council’s rights-of-way policy is under fire again after it emerged that the council submitted a false figure to the Audit Commission for the national league table showing how many footpaths in a given area are easy to use.

Cornwall Area Management Meeting

The next meeting will be on Thursday 24th April in the Sunday School Room, Methodist Chapel, Summercourt. Please send a representative from each group to find out what's going on in the Ramblers Cornish groups and nationally. All are welcome.
Upcoming dates are: Thursday 22nd July which is an evening meeting starting at 6.30pm and Thursday 23rd October at 2pm. The meetings are for the time being all held in Summercourt.

20s and 30s group

Cornwall Countryside Access Strategy
public consultation

Cornwall County Council has published a Draft Cornwall Countryside Access Strategy 2007, which includes the long-awaited Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP). It is now open for public consultation.

The document should be available in local libraries and is on the CCC website Cornwall County Council website
