Tribes Trike Site
To Do List
Have started to build a new home for our trike, its not been without its problems, Tuesday after Christmas we got home to find a note through the door from our council planning enforcement officer... it seems our neighbour had complained. Two visits from the council chap, Photo's and measurements taken, after a week of wondering if we would have to take it down. The council happly advised that planning permission was not needed, and we can now carry on (much to our neighbours disgust we expect)
Would like to cut away middle foot peg, front pegs  need Straightening
Its a bit different to  the common chequer plate
New Rear Lights (stop, Tail & Indicator) Front side lights, Leather gear knob, reflectors & alloy wheel dust caps
When we fit our new wheels (after seats are complete) we have to replace the existing wheel arches, as the new wheels are wider. it seemed a good time to to fit new lighting as well. The side lamps are the same as fitted to mini's & early Landrovers. The existing sidelights are too small to show up the trikes width at night ( Cars see the single headlamp, assume you are a motocycle, and don't give you enough space ) . The rear lamps are made by hella, and are a european lorry trailer light unit
Blue leads & Clear blue dist' cap
Arm rest pads
Fuel filter
Chrome oil cap
fan belt cover
rocker covers

oil pressure switch
46 ltr Top Box
A few more bits to fit as and when!!
The existing oil pressure switch has never worked (nor does any light or wiring for it exist!!)
you really need to know about Lack of oil pressure, so i will be installing the necessary wiring & warning Light
Have got to finish off engine, after dynamo & manifold repairs
These snazzy safety specs are just the job for trike riding. The arms adjust in length and angle
A guinness can tidies up an otherwise plain looking HT coil
Battery Meter
A VW 'BUG' For our front mudguard
Horn
High level break light
existing mudguard
New disign
The new wheels are wider than the existing mudguards, New one's will be made, with thier design altered to suit the new side lamp & Rear lamps
We bought the rev counter last week at a car boot for just 50p. it had been laying about a while, and had lots of dust & paint flakes inside the glass. Its sealed with a pressed ring, so taking apart was not an option. I poured hot water with a little washing up liquid in through the lamp hole in the rear, swished it a bit, rinsed it plenty & dried quickly on the radiator. i wired it up today (05/04/04) & it works fine . What a bargain!   .
