14/9/03 Started rear seat conversion
Today we started to convert our single rear seat to a full width seat. Work commenced at 10 am. Toni (my wife) helped me with planning what we were doing & offering up & regular flow of beverages!. We started with some stacking office chairs, that were surplus to requirement. It just made economical sense to chop one up!!. several hours later, after lots of cutting and welding things really did start to come together. We packed up just before dark at 7.30pm
We have designed each seat to be unbolted for easy access to suspension & drive-gear.
Above: Brother simon drops by in the afternoon & helps with setting up the welder properly & gives advice on welding techniques, as this is the first time i have ever welded!
RIGHT: A Days Work, and we just about have a seat frame. All thats left to do this side is one more strut to be fitted, a little more welding on the underside of the frame and a little tidying-up. Just got to make another one for the other side!

Thanks to Andy & Gary for advice & ideas
Andy & Helen, Gary & Jan called round Sunday for a chat.
I think they also wanted to see what we  had done!
