Jeremy Martin was a music scholar at Uppingham School under Ralph Allwood, where he several times won the school organ and accompanying competitions, and reached the finals of the National Schools Chamber Music Competition in St. John Smith's Square, London. He studied the organ with Nicholas Kynaston, and went on to become organ scholar of Lincoln College, Oxford.
Since leaving Oxford he has pursued a full time career in the NHS, but has also continued to develop his musical interests. He conducted the Department of Health Choir for a time, and founded the Trinity Singers in 1998. He is the regular accompanist for Taunton Camerata, and plays from time to time for various other choirs in the area.
