Updated January 2009
The club was founded in 1983 by Graham Taylor, an MG owner from Darlington.
By 1986 he had been joined by a small group of about 15 similar minded enthusiasts
with Tina Bell as the Club Secretary and Magazine Editor.
The club originally met at the "Londonderry Arms" public house, Long Newton and
enjoyed runs , displays and other social events.
Over the years the club has gone from strength to strength with over 100 members
and a wide variety of current and classic MG models. We are affiliated to the National
MG Owners Club and our club events are featured in their monthly "Enjoying MG" magazine.
Every month we have a club night, and a weekend run. In the summer months
more events take place often a social night, or meeting up with other local clubs for runs and display events.
Our club is a friendly group of people who share a common interest in the MG marque.
New members or those interested in MG`s are always made welcome.
So if you own an MG and are thinking about joining, come and have a drink and a chat with us
at our next club night. The 3rd Thursday of every month at the Municipal Golf Club, Ladgate Lane,
Middlesbrough.
