Julia and Lee are hooked on learning to dance, they have found that by learning even just a few steps, a night out can be so much more fun!

By combining the idea of learning to dance with providing an excellent, relaxed way of meeting new people and having fun, they have found a way of introducing a simple yet highly sociable form of dancing whilst making new friends or having a good time with old friends.

With years of experience, a wonderfully relaxed manner and an amazing enthusiasm for dancing, our instructors, Jim and Nikki, are always on hand and willing to help out ensuring you to enjoy, have fun and maybe even learn the odd step or two!!

Meet Jim & Nikki, instructors extrodinaire!

How did you meet Jim?
My previous dance partner had to give it up, due to business pressures.  I had seen Jim around on the social dance scene; he always had a long queue of woman waiting to dance with him.  I thought to myself I liked what I saw and asked him to teach with me.  Believe it or not he was quiet & shy then, I’m responsible for creating the loud Jim that everyone knows.

How long have you been dancing?
A long time, I won’t tell you how long as it will give away my age; a lady has secrets you know???

What inspired you to teach?
I have always loved dancing, its fun!  I love the music, social scene/meeting people.  I used to enter dance competitions in the 90’s & do aerials (acrobatics/air steps); I’ve hit more ceilings than I care to remember!  Teaching was a natural progression; it also helps to fund the dance camps in the UK & Europe, which Jim & I like to attend.

Where did you learn to dance?
I learnt to dance from a local dance class back in the mist of time, I got hooked and attended the dance camps around UK & Europe, through Jim I met Big Ron, say no more.

What do you like most about the type of dance you teach?
The fun, chaos, laughter, seeing everyone dancing and having a good time.  I know I’ve taught well then
