PROGRAMME UPDATE
Details of the current programme can be found by clicking here. We think that you will find plenty to interest you and hope that you are able to join us throughout the Season.
Monthly Competitions
This year the monthly competitions have been re-organised to accommodate an expected increase in Members who may wish to enter. You will see from the programme that we now have 4 nights for Projected Images, and 4 for Prints, and each fully paid up member can enter 4 pieces of work on each competition night; meaning that 16 PI's and 16 Prints can be entered through the year. The method of scoring will still be the same and all the same trophies will be up for grabs.
The new season's Competition Rules have now been posted onto the Competitions Page in PDF Format so that you can print them off, if you so wish.
The results from the first round of both the Projected Images and Print Competitions have now been posted on the Results page. Please do come back regularly so you can keep up to date with progress and share in the excitement as the competitions head to a climax, with the decision as to who is Photographer of the Year.
Portfolio/Open PI Competition
The Portfolio Competition comprises a panel of three prints on a related theme of the photogrpaher's choice and this annual event was held on Tuesday 25th November. On the same night was held an open PI competition and the results of both of these events can be found on the Results page.
Gallery
We now have the Gallery Page up and running with a display of members' work. Do take a look to see the standard of the work that we produce and which we all feel rightly proud of. The page can be accessed from the main menu or from the link.
Inter Club Battle
The annual three way Inter Club Battle with Kidderminster and Hagley Camera Clubs, took place on Monday 27th October. In previous years we have generally been the bridesmaid but this year we made it all the way to the front and came out as the winners in both the Prints and the Projected Images, giving us overall success. The final scores were TWPC - 283, Kidderminster - 277 and Hagley - 264. Well done to those whose work was displayed.
If you feel that you would like to join us, you will be made most welcome. Just come along to any of our meetings at The Institute, starting at 7:45, without any obligation. You will even get a free cup of tea and a biscuit.
