Sling and Lavan Tramway - Work Continues

Mike Barton is beginning to move on with the next stage of track laying but a pre-requisite has been the installation of a land drain along the back of his conservatory wall to prevent water penetration.

The new track base has now been cast and hopefully track laying will start over the next couple of weeks.

The view above gives a flavour of things and the route of the new line will be on top of the gray area. The horizontal white line in the distance is a section of line on planks coming round to meet the wall.

There will be a new passing bay on this section of line, so enabling end to end running with run round facilities at each end until the continuous loop is joined up later in the summer.
