Relationship between
Employers and Employees under the DDA

From 2004, any business or commercial enterprise,
either in the private or public sector,
which has premises visited or attended by members of the public,
now has to adhere to tough new regulations regarding
the physical features of their premises for disabled customers.

Whether your business or service is as large as a national firm with thousands of outlets, or as small as a ‘one-man’ enterprise,
Part III of the DDA can empower Courts to levy
unlimited fines against you or your business if you have failed to commence radical alterations to your office, shop, etc.

A HUGE number of the physical features of your premises are now affected.

Please select Page button 2 ‘Types of disability recognised under the DDA’
and Page button 3 for examples of physical alterations that may need to be made under the new 2004 law.

Providers of materials and/or services to assist enterprises of all sizes to comply with
all requirements laid down by the
Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995,
as subsequently enforced in Parts I & II
including the latest Part III provisions enforced from 1st October 2004.
