Disability and Access Audits

Following instructions from any company, business or organisation within the country
The
UK Disability Bureau can provide a quality and comprehensive Disability/Access
Audit undertaken by one of our specialist Disability Consultants who are not only fully
State Registered but have considerable post-qualification experience prior to joining us.

Audit parameters can vary from ‘Access Audits’ to ascertain the service provider’s likely
compliance towards its customers and members of the public, or ‘Employee Disability
Audits’ to monitor the employer’s similar compliance towards its employees, with the
latest requirements of Part III of the DDA.

Even medium and large-sized employers can benefit from instituting an ‘Employee
Disability Audit’ - despite any previous provisions they may have made towards their
disabled employees - in order to indicate they are up-to-date with their responsibilities
under the Act.

After our site visit we provide a
Report dedicated to the specific needs of the company
in line with our knowledge of requirements laid down through the latest full implementation
of the DDA.
This will be supplemented with our own separate 80+ page
Manual to serve as a future
reference source
identifying a very large number of examples of types of disability
together with types of reasonable adjustment typically expected to be made in any
organisation.

A formal
Disability Policy Statement document will also be constructed by the
UK Disability Bureau
specifically tailored to the assessed company to hold and display as
and when needed.

In addition, we issue a
Certificate of Audit dated and signed by our inspecting
Clinician which should be prominently displayed at the particular company’s location.
Thereafter, if the company require us to re-attend at some future date to verify that all
necessary work and adjustments previously recommended by ourselves have been
satisfactorily undertaken/installed we can then issue a
Certificate of Compliance.
