Link error...
Strangely no one has reported this yet, but somehow a sub-page of the off-line Ultima Thule pages is missing from the first edition of "The Crack In The Cosmic Egg" CD-Rom. This means that the link at the bottom of the Main Contents page doesn't work. This doesn't impair the functionality of the rest of the Rom and is it easy correct or access the UT pages by other means.
If you install the Rom on your computer you can correct this error yourself by clicking on "view source" in Explorer's page menu, which will open notepad. Next, locate "..\ultimathule\index.html" and change it to "..\ultimathule\main.html". Save changes and it should now work. Do not change anything else!
To view the pages from the disc, open folders or Explorer and locate your CD-Rom drive, double-click on the "ultimathule" directory, and the double-click on "main.html".

Incidentally, in the "tachyon" subdirectory "music" you will find an additional hour of music, 99 extracts and a number of montages from the Ultimate Transmissions, Auricle, and Cosmic Egg labels. These are linked in the relevant pages, but to listen to them as an album, add all the files contained therein to your media player playlist. In revised editions of the CD-Rom a lot of this will need to be trimmed down to make room for other things.

Viewing help...
If you are having trouble viewing "The Crack In The Cosmic Egg" CD-Rom correctly, i.e. you are getting weird characters in the text that make no sense, then you need to alter your Encoding settings to either Western European (ISO) or Western European (windows).
