Taken from Vrije THIRD (Syzygy ZC 120.008) aka recompiled cassette ALCHEMY (Dark Star DSC 11).
Compiled & remixed at Tachyon Studio (19 March 2001).

Alan & Steve Freeman: Yamaha CS5, Casio PT30, loops, string thing, feedback, found sounds, percussion, voice.
+ Liza: sax (3,5).

The first succesful and largely consistent release, the 2 cassette set THIRD introduced organ and synthesizer to the Vrije (Alto Stratus) instrumental roster, and saw the roots of the patent Alto Stratus sound emerging, but with many suprises like the sax and mad electronic driven "New Buildings Falling Down" or the abstractly jazzy "Void". There were also some embarrasing moments on the original release, however, that are best left forgotten, hence the judicious pruning and remixing to condense all the best material onto a single CDR. We entitled a previous recompiation cassette ALCHEMY, hence its use as the CD title.
