Alan Freeman: guitar (with effects, violin bow and gliss), synths (Roland SH32, Moog Rogue, Korg Poly 800, Siel Orchestra 2), MAM Warp 9 (filter, oscillator)
Steve Freeman: bass (with effects, violin bow), cymbal, bowed acoustic CD, prepared sounds and loops, turntable, synths (Korg MS20, Yamaha CS5, Octave Cat)

Although three and a half years on from DEVASTATION, Alto Stratus have by no means been inactive, being involved quite exhaustively in the projects: Endgame, Triax and Extremities. This new CD benefits from all that experience, yet also (in part) returns to the early pioneering TENSION! A lot of guitars and ring-modulation strongly feature alongside the classic vintage synthesizers of the Tachyon studio, and many more recent toys. The results are diverse, challenging, and even surprised us!
