The Naked Fear Terminal The inspiration for the title "Nattmara" (incidentally meaning "Nightmare" in Swedish, and the title of an extraordinary Ralph Lundsten work) this is a work of both startling unnerving intensity and subtly surreal spookiness. It could be the soundtrack to very strange movie, or you could imagine your own whilst listening to it. The subtitles are merely clues to the mood. In Caustis Perpetua Unique for an Endgame work, this outing starts with a menacingly huge growing crescendo culminating within its first 2 minutes, followed by a writhing always changing tail-off for its final 20 minutes. Hence the title. This features lots of mangled groaning guitars, bowed metal, wood and plastic (CD's with contact-mic's attached), and an overdose of Air-FX processing. |
