An imaginary soundtrack? A collection of macabre musical visions?...
"Dangerous Playground" is a title that works on many levels, as the precarious nature of spontaneous free improvisation can lead to the most unlikely successes and disasters, like the incorrect turning of a filter control or effects patch could lead to a huge surprise or to a horrible distorted wall of feedback! Such things happen, and that's where the ability to cut and paste, mix and remix, all earn their place as extra tools in the Triax work as you hear it. This 2CD 1181/2 minute collection was culled and condensed from 3 hours of live studio sessions (August 2004 & 29 March 2005). A few tracks are choice extracts, some are montages, 2 are virtually the original recording.
"Dangerous Playground" is also the musical depiction intended. This is eerie and macabre sounding stuff, with tonalities you're unlikely to hear in any other music, from the short but vivid "Collapsing Bell Tower" to the immense 31 minutes of "In A Dangerous Playground" the soundtrack to the horror film of your choice!
