To my collection of photos taken with a Nikonos lV underwater camera which I bought at a time when I was scuba diving off the Turkish, South African and English coasts.
However......
Most of these shots were taken in an open air sea water swimming pool - not while out diving. So the only marine life on display here depicts the antics of my models, who were lifeguards, competitive swimmers and athletes. None of us had ever done anything like this before !
Pictures, Not Photos
I have played around with the original photographs, which had to be scanned and converted into digital format. Then I used various software programmes to manipulate the pictures.
But what I still find amazing is the inventiveness of my models. They discarded their inhibitions in favour of graceful athleticism and some fun poses.
The results were very pleasing, thanks to a great camera and some excellent swimmers.
