Some of the bigger players, like AdultFriendfinder, have been around for longer than we care to remember. There are many newer sites now, and some with very impressive features. They are a lot more advanced than they were say three or four years ago, and their memberships are growing rapidly.
That probably says a lot about making contacts online becoming much more acceptable and the stigma that was there even five years ago now out the window. And why not!? If you are in need of a little extra curricular activity and fancy a bit of fun at the weekend (or one evening, or in the daytime!) then there’s nothing wrong with meeting a like-minded person or persons.
There is no doubt that adult dating and personals online is big business. It won’t come as much of a surprise that memberships of adult dating sites are heavily male dominated, but we’ve seen a bit of a balancing out in the male to female ratios over the past twelve months. Perhaps women are taking more control of their sex lives and going after what they want, bypassing the social taboos that have inflicted our society since time immemorial! We were interested in joining these sites and two of our friends, Mike 39 and Sophie 23, were also interested! In fact they were well up for it! They’ve been feeding back their experiences for our site, which you’ll see below (as well as ours)!
2. BeNaughty
We’ve discovered that BeNaughty is one of the fastest growing dating sites in the UK (it’s in the top 5!). That has exceeded all our expectations but when, in the name of science, we joined to see what experiences we would have, all was revealed (literally!). BeNaughty has a completely different feel to AdultFriendfinder.
AdultFriendfinder used to have a slightly dodgy search facility. When Phil tried it as far back as three years ago he couldn’t seem to find anyone in his area! However, they’ve vastly improved and expanded the search, and you can now find lots of members in whatever area you choose. They also have different levels of membership, gold and silver. Silver does allow you to message other users but you end up so far down in search results nobody can find you. With gold you get to go to the top of search results so you are more likely to get some attention.
BeNaughty members feel real! When you read the profiles there are some real gems. If you look closely at the profiles you soon get to filter out a good selection of people you’d like to flirt and meet with. As always with online dating sites, and maybe more so with the more adult orientated dating sites, you’ll come across a few timewasters, but in many cases you can spot them a mile off. BeNaughty has a good number of UK members which makes it especially appealing for us. Sophie has met up with a few guys and she admits that she had a “flirtatious time” with two of them, ending up at their place for a little “naughtiness” (Sophie’s words, but we know where she’s coming from, literally!). Mike says that over the past four months he’s met up with a few women and “had a shag or three” (again, Mike’s words!). It seems BeNaughty does exactly what it says on the tin and gets full marks from us!
Mike, adventurous as ever, had a bash at live webcam chat with some girls. He siad it wasn’t bad for an otherwise boring and lacklustre Sunday afternoon so we’ve included a little box for it below!

3. WildMatch
There’s so many dating sites to meet someone for a shag, it’s been difficult to choose between them! But at no.3 we’ve selected WildMatch. There’s a few reasons for this! First (and foremost) Mike and Sophie both had success with the site. This was especially good news for Mike who’s struggled to get even a single date on some of the sites he’s tried. But on WildMatch he scored-a-plenty (he’s done better than Arsenal in the champions league)!
Some online adult dating sites have invested heavily in state of the art features, leaving other sites well behind. That’s where wildMatch comes into its own. It’s a site that offers just about everything you can imagine. You can not only chat with guys or girls in real time, but there’s also video chat (sort of thing that Mike likes!). You can also upload videos onto the site, make use of advanced compatibility tests, and of course contact members using normal messaging! Paid subscribers also get access to an additional adult site (we don’t mean dating) called 6BuckModels.com (says it all, really!). As it’s American (but with a good UK database) the prices are in US$. They are $29.95 (twenty squid in English dosh) for a month, or $49.95 (about £33) for two months. Our verdict: better, more exciting, and cheaper than an escort!
4. Fling
Phil, Debbie and Sophie gave this one a go and it comes highly recommended. Seeing as it’s appealing to such a wide age range (Debbie and Sophie being fourteen years apart) is encouraging. Phil seems to have had the time of his life judging by the regular grin on his face he’s had recently! (And that’s not all he’s had on his face we suspect!). This is another American site (most of them are, apart from the likes of BeNaughty, SexintheUK) but don’t let that stop you if you’re in the UK (as indeed we all are). The fact is we’ve had more success on this site than several others we’ve tried.
This is another fully featured adult online dating site, well endowed with all the latest gadgets (no pun intended!). There’s live video chat, video upload, instant messenger and a forum which we found interesting! Fling.com has two levels of membership (like AdultFriendfinder) - gold and silver. You get featured in search results with the gold but not the silver. Prices for a month are $34.95 (£23) on gold or $24.95 (£17) on silver. At the time of writing they are also offering one month gold for $14.95 (that’s just a tenner!). That’s great value for this site. Three month memberships are also available as is a 7 day “trial” membership with the gold. In our opinion Fling is definitely worthy of inclusion in our top 5 adult dating sites! If Sophie “loves” it, it’s got to be good!
5. SexSearch
We’ve been at it several months now! “Researching” sites so that we can feedback to you, our reader, the low down on each one! We’ve subscribed to many sites, used them regularly to see what we like and dislike, and met up with other members. We’ve paid to join over a dozen sites, and it’s been difficult to narrow down our top 5. There are probably three or four that could have made our number 5. spot and, after lengthy debate down at our local, we’ve finally agreed that it should be Sex Search that gets the final slot!
Mike and Debbie actively used this site. Debbie was overwhelmed with messages from guys. Mike got some messages although in most cases had to initiate contact. Still, at least he got replies which led to some meetings, some of which in turn led to sessions of bedroom acrobatics and the like. In deciding which sites we like, we’ve compared levels of successfully meeting other members as well as each site’s features, ease of use, value for money and customer service. A couple of sites didn’t make our top 5 as they had no customer service! There was no doubt that Sex Search did provide an adequate database of UK members, which led to a handful of real life encounters! And they’ve clearly spent money on the site itself as there are good chatrooms, private chat, videos, a sexstore, dvd store, swingers club and the chance to win a sex holiday (which we didn’t!). Most of all, you can “ask Jenna Jameson” if you need help with any sexual matters! Sex Search has earned its place in our top 5 online adult dating and sex personals sites and on our bedposts as a couple of extra notches!
