Who is he?
The third in command of the Haychester Division of the Security Service after Tracy and The Commander, he is the wise cracking funny surreal guy with the dry wit and humour for every occasion no matter how serious.
Characterisations:
Married with a couple of kids and an ever so slightly cynical wife, he is always the one running the office sweepstakes and the first to volunteer if there is a door to be kicked in as spectacularly as possible. Resourceful and knowledgeable, it is pleasing to say that he duly gets his well deserved promotion up the career ladder when we meet him again briefly later in the series.

I have to admit I am not sure where his origins come from, he is one of those characters who developed naturally as the story went along.
Known Associates:
Has worked with and known the Commander for many years when we first meet him in Hainault. Seems to have a contact somewhere in the service for every occasion and knows pretty much every criminal element in the distinct, much thanks to the Commander's tutor ledge over the years.
