Who is he?
The second double crossing personal agenda laden Home Secretary we come across in the series. He makes his predecessor Sharman look an angel compared with what this guy is prepared to do just to make money and dam the consequences for anyone else.
Characterisations:
Scheming and very intelligent but that does not stop him putting his foot well and truly in it at one key point. He is the brains behind a conspiracy that threatens the Security Service itself and many innocent lives in the plot line of Westminster.
Inspired by:
Much like Sharman, Pullman is also based on the many dumb two faced lying slimy back stabbing pocket lining smug bastards that were to be found infesting the Government cabinet during the bad years of the 1980's. It should be noted that the current Home Secretary is actually a very nice chap and will provide the inspiration for the next one that appears in the series if required!
