Character Profile - Tracy Caverner

Who is she?
From the beginning, she is the loyal, hard working and dedicated Security Service officer who is not only The Commander's immediate deputy but also his constant companion and later, wife and eternally loved one. The bond between the two is strong and unbreakable and they would do anything for each other.
Characterisations:
Tracy takes no nonsense from anyone, is a an excellent marksperson and has an enthusiasm for motorbikes, a feature that crops up a number of times in the series whenever she is required to pursue someone on her Security Service issue motor bike, usually breaking most of the traffic regulations in the process!
The double act she has with the Commander throughout the series is matched by that she sometimes get to share with her identical twin sister Jennifer who initially is the more outgoing of the pair.

Much like the Commander, Tracy's characterisations are drawn from a number of sources and people I have met over the years.
One of the more odd inspirations for her character though is a Metropolitan Police recruitment poster from the late 1990's which featured a female police motorcycle officer and inspired Tracy's motorcycle chase through the streets of London and the Underground system in Holborn and Waterloo. If anyone knows where I can get hold of a picture of this poster, I would appreciate it!
Known Associates:
Most obvious is her identical twin sister Jennifer, also we meet her parents and at one point briefly, her brother of whom more much later in the series. She gets on well with pretty much everyone except corrupt politicians!
