Amberley in West Sussex appears (although not by name) in
Embankment as the unidentified rural station in the 'middle of nowhere'. Indeed this
location's rural nature is obvious from these pictures. |
Served by one train in each direction per hour, it is located on
the Arun Valley Line between Arundel and Pulborough and is also home to the excellent
Amberley Museum based in the adjacent former chalk pits.
Short platforms are a common feature to the stations on this
section of line and intending passengers for here are required to travel in the front five
carriages only in order to alight
