One of the latest Underground Stations to feature in the series is the Piccadilly Line's Caledonian Road, one stop north of Kings Cross St Pancras (two stops if you count the closed York Road station in between. |
| Caledonian Road is one of the finest and most original of the
prominent Leslie Green designed red terracotta faced station buildings on the system.
Unfortunately when I paid my visit, I found the surface building completely clad in scaffolding!! A number of scenes in Victoria take place both in the station and its surrounding environs, minus the scaffolding though! |

Thankfully, nearly all of the original tile work is still visible
at platform level and very impressive it is too as it has not been too badly mucked about
with in the intervening one hundred years of the station's life. This is the southbound platform looking towards Kings Cross St Pancras direction. |
