Epping is one of the more rural and less known stations on the Underground system, serving a small town in the heart of rural Essex. |
| The station which has recently had a lot of money spent on it to restore its period features, has two platforms for terminating Central Line services which utilise eight car trains of 1992 Tube Stock. |  |

Just to prove that Epping really is the end of the line. Trains are prevented from going beyond the north ends of the platforms by the train stops in the tracks. |
| Epping was not always the end of the line however.
Until 1994, the rural single line branch to Ongar used to continue north of
here at peak hours only. The service passed through the heart of the Epping Forest and served virtually nowhere, all facts that led to its eventual closure. The tracks are still in situ as seen here. The Ongar line itself is on the right, the track on the left is a disused reversing siding. |

Epping Station is actually a short distance away
from the centre of the town itself and accessed by a steeply ramped road as
seen here. No picture of the station building exterior I am afraid though due to it being constantly obstructed by buses! |
