Hyde Park Corner is located at the lower south eastern corner of Hyde Park and is marked by the Wellington Memorial (see Grosvenor Crescent) as well as the impressive park gate..

The main south eastern gate to Hyde Park itself dominated the road along the top edge and compliments the over the top ornate styling of the Wellington Memorial directly opposite.
Entry to Hyde Park Corner Station is by way of a subway and there is a very good reason for this as the station needed to be relocated when the escalators were put in replacing old lifts.

The large Underground roundel is a more recent addition as prior to that it was difficult to see there was a station there at all.

This very entrance also appears in the film 'The Fourth Protocol' where Anton Rogers dodgy MP makes a discreet exit before oddly boarding a Jubilee Line train from the thinly disguised platform at Charing Cross....

An interesting feature of Hyde Park Corner is that the old station building is still in existence a short distance up the road.  Once again a distinctive Leslie Green red terracotta facade is still clearly recognisable even though it is now a pizza restaurant.
Below ground, the two platforms serving the Piccadilly Line reflect the period styling of the old station building rather than the new complete with the familiar patterned tiling and rings over the tunnel roof.
