 A key event in Embankment takes place at Oxford Circus Station and its surrounding environs, a busy tourist trap in Central London which has rather surprisingly featured only very sparingly in the series thus far. |

| Oxford Circus is basically the intersection between the busy
central shopping streets of Oxford Street and Regent Street. Above left is the main area of Oxford Circus itself, the main ticket hall lying directly beneath the centre of the street whilst above right is the north part of Regent Street stretching off into the distance. |

| Four entrances and six exits can be found at Oxford Circus
Station! The entrances are four subway style entrances set into the pavement in each corner of Oxford Circus. The two exits are the two original station buildings including the distinctive Leslie Green designed building seen above right. |

The other exit only building is the other original station
building (Oxford Circus was originally two separate stations) seen on the left. Below ground can be found the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria Lines. The scenes in Embankment take place in the main ticket hall (not shown as I could not get a decent picture) the Victoria Line Northbound platform (seen below right) and the Central Line platforms (below left). |

| As can be seen, the Central Line platforms and the connecting passageways are currently at time of writing in the middle of a modernisation program with new tile work going in. |
