Moving across the city now, we call at Park Lane (£350 on a Monopoly board!) which runs the entire length of the eastern extremity of Hyde Park from Marble Arch down to Hyde Park Corner. |
| The scene in which Park Lane appears in 'Victoria' involves a bank
with a side street alongside it. I wrote this scene without having visited the area
and was stunned when a few weeks later, I noticed an (albeit closed down) bank with a side
street in Park Lane itself! I must be getting physic in my old age! Anyway, this is the scene of a bank robbery that goes wildly and dangerously wrong. If you wish to visit this location yourself, its right next to the route 73 stop at the top end of Park Lane near Marble Arch. |
