| Westminster Pier (lets forget about the silly
Millennium bit shall we?) shares many similar features with Embankment pier and indeed is
only five minutes walk away. It serves the usual tourist boats as well as river ferry services and lies in the shadow of Big Ben, hence lots of slightly lost looking tourists all over the place! |

| When you look around from the end of Westminster
Bridge immediately above the pier, you see that it really is a honey pot of familiar
London landmarks. The road alongside the Pier also features prominently in a key scene in the novel, particularly the section seen here outside the Ministry of Defence (extreme right) approaching Portcullis House and the Houses of Parliament. |

Yes, it's a couple of boats moored in the middle of the river. I took this picture on impulse of these two vessels moored not far from Westminster Pier and since then, I have been working on a plot component in Embankment that makes use of them! |
