New Land
In January, we bought 50 acres of sheep grazing pasture in between Middle and South Littleton, with Severn Waste Services’ support. For those familiar with the area, it is the ridge and furrow land with the footpaths across it, near the First School. The ridge and furrow is a really distinctive landscape feature, and has been (mostly) unploughed for centuries. The Littleton brook runs through the middle of the site, and there is a small oak woodland in the far corner, also showing ridge and furrow. The land will continue to be grazed extensively by a local grazier.
