Orchards

We own 6 acres of plum orchard in Cleeve Prior, 70 acres near the Lenches, and lease a further 3 acres in Hampton as a community orchard.

Flood Meadows

The Trust’s first purchases were 6 acres of flood meadows in Fladbury. They are an amazing sight in June, with the native flowers blooming in all their glory – just like you see on the wild flower seed packets, but so rare to see in real life! We now also own 20 acres near Offenham, and another meadow near the recycling centre.

Woodlands

We were given 3.5 acres of planted native woodland in Bishampton, and we also have some scrubland next to the flood meadows in Offenham, which is growing into woodland with rides through it.

“The aim is to create a mosaic of habitats, including meadow, hedgerow, pond, wetland, scrub, coppice & traditional orchards”,
Colin Grove, Treasurer
