JOHN SWAN broke the arrest of Thomas Cole the mayor of this vill. and the under bailiff, as to two leaden measured 'cuves' or vessels and other goods to the value of 40 shillings. Arrested in the house of Walter Clayton at the suit of the party complaining against him in a plea of debt. Such complainant being John Shudde. This latter person himself being also presented for placing dung in a vacant place opposite the chapel of Melcombe Regis to the grievious danger of the common people walking there."
