In the name of God Amen. The syxtenth day of March Anno Dom One thousand six hundred and ten And in the yth year of the reign of our sovereign Lorde James by the grace of God of England ffrance and Ireland and defender of the fayth and the light And of Scotland the four and fourty. I Stephen Swan of Ickleton in ye County of Cambridge yeoman being syck of body but in good and perfect rememberance (ye Lord be thanked) utterly revoking the making of all former wills whatever theretofore by me made. Do make and order this my last testament declaring this my last will in manner and form following (that is to say) ffirst and most principally I commend my soul to allmighty God trusting most assuredly in by and through the death and most bitter passyon of his sonne our Lorde Jeses Christ to give full pdon and remission of all my synnes and offences And my bodye to be buried in ye churchyarde of the parish church of Icklington aforesaid And concerning the dispossing of all my lande tenements goods and chattelles whatsoever whereof it has pleased God to make me steward of and indue me with all these in this world this is my will and desire. Item I give will and bequeath unto Justyce my beloved wife All that ffree messuage or tenement with the appurtinances whatsoever thereunto adjoining or belonging srytnals lying and being in the South Street Ickleton in the said county of Cambridge to have and to hold to her and her assigns for and during all her natural life and after her decease I give will and bequeath the same unto my sonne Robert Swann and to his heirs forever uppon condition nevertheless following that is to say that he the said Robert his heirs and assigns shall paid unto his sisters Anne and Emme my daughters their executors administrators or assigns at or in the south porch of the parish church of Ickleton aforesaid in ye said county of Cambridge the sum of tenn pounds of good and lawful money of England (that is to say) to either of them five pounds apiece within a year next after the daye of ye death or decease of Justyce my wife And yf default of payment to her or made of the said sum of ten pounds or of any part or parts thereof contrary to the same then I will give and bequeath the said messuage or tenement with appurtanences unto the said Anne and Emme their heirs and assigns forever. Item I give will and bequeath unto the sayd Justice my wife and her assigns one piece of copyhold land with appurtenances in Ickleton aforesaid lying next to Boltum for and during the term of her natural life the remainder thereof after her decease to the use and profit of the said Robert my son and his heirs and assigns forever. Item I give will and bequeath unto the sayd Justice my wife and her assigns one garden plott with a pigstall adjoining with appurtenances in Ickleton aforesaid for and during the term of her natural life the remainder thereof after her decease to the use and behoost to Edward Swan my son his heirs and assigns forever uppon condition nevertheless following that is to say that the said Edward his heirs and assigns shall well and truly pay unto his sisters Isabell and Mary my daughters their heirs administrators or assigns at or in the porch of the parish church of Ickleton the sum of ffortie shillings of lawfull money of England that is to say to either of them twentie shillings within a year next after the decease of the said Justice my wife and for non payment thereof the remainder thereof then to the use and benefit of the said Isabell and Marye and their heirs forever.
