SWAN FAMILY WILLS |

This is the last Will & Testament of me WILLIAM SWAN of Radwinter in the county of Essex. Yeoman made this nineteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight. First I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah / upon conditions herein after named / All my money. Securities for money. Stock in trade. Goods Chattels Personal Estate and Effects of what nature or kind after the paying thierout All my just Debts Funeral and other Expenses. But provided always and my Will is that in case my said Wife should happen to intermarry with any other Husband then I do hereby Give and Devise out my said Personalty unto my Father Eustace Swan the Sum of Forty Pounds, and if my Father is not Living at the time of my said Wifes intermarriage, then I Give the said Forty Pounds unto my Mother. Also I give unto my brother Daniel Swan and unto my sister Susanna Swan the sum of thirty pounds apiece and in case my said brother or sister or either of them are not living at the time of such intermarriage as aforesaid then I give the said sum or sums herein and hereby given to him her or them unto my said Father, / and if he is not then living I Give and Devise the Same unto my said Mother All which Legacies I will and Direct be paid by my said Wife, out of my said personalty immediately after her intermarriage with any other Husband And Lastly I do appoint my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made IN WITNESS whereof I have here set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
