The Bongo arrived on the 1st of December 2005, and was promptly nicknamed The Swango Bongo. For some time I had been looking for a vehicle which which would fulfil all of my needs. It had to be spacious enough to take my mobility scooter and still have room for the odd passenger or four. In addition we had always dreamed of having a vehicle in which we could buzz off for a couple of days R&R. Of course it had to be fairly cheap to run and also easy to drive, bearing in mind my disability. It brings to mind a line from a popular song. To dream the impossible dream, and so it seemed until I heard about the amazing Mazda Bongo. I will write a few notes about this versatile motor below. |
