Village Notice Board

History Society   The society's first talk in new session will be on The Somerset Flood of 1607: was it a Tsunami?  The speaker will be Professor Simon Halett. This will be at 7.30pm in the Village Hall on November 23rd	Beercrocombe Parish Council     The next meeting will be held on Monday 16th November 2009  at Beercrocombe & Curry Mallet Village Hall at  7.30 pm.
St James' Church   This year sees the 10th anniversary of the restoration of the bells at St James.   To celebrate this there will be a special service and a display of photographs on Sunday November the 22nd.
Book Club   Beercrocombe and Curry Mallet now have a Book Club.    If you are interested in joining please contact  Jill Macleod, Marianne Townrow or Julia  at Curry Mallet Post Office.	Police Surgery   These are usually held about once a month at  the Post Office Curry Mallet  on a Tuesday at 11.30 am.   Next meeting 20th October   Do come along if you have anything to ask or say.
Curry Mallet & Beercrocombe Classic Car Club   If you are interested in joining contact Chris Marks or Willie Vigus for further details.	Footpath L5/16   Officially designated L5/16 this footpath runs from Beer Street to the church.  It is well signposted and has recently been very well upgraded by SSDC.    Footpath L5/14   Walkers are now requested to use the correct route across the  centre of the field rather than use the edges of the field following work done in the old canal.
