Saturday 18 Jul 2009 |
Unusually the weather was dull this year for the Curry Mallet & Beercrocombe Village Fete. Despite this and one rather long shower there was a good turnout and events included many old favourites. Bale rolling and home brewed wines being shown here.

This year the annual plant sale was held on a pleasant sunny day in the Muskay. The turn out was good and selling was so brisk that almost all the plants were sold within one hour. A very successful sale in aid of church funds. |

2 & 6 February 2009

On these two days the village awoke to the fairly rare sight of significant falls of snow. The 2nd Feb was sunny with about 2 ins of snow and the 6th of Feb dawned dull with at least 4 ins of snow which was still falling. We were without services until the 7th when a snow plough was used to help matters.

January 2009 |
Following a request by the Parish Council workmen from South Somerset District Council came and removed a part of a tree leaning across a bridge in the parish. A few days later several members of the Parish council spent an hour or two tidying up the area and removing wood from the stream bed where it had fallen.

On a cold but dry day a good number members of the village gathered at St James to give the church and the churchyard a clean up. Just some of the helpers appear in the photographs. |
