"To
start this review off, my first thought was WOW,
I think we have found the winner for "Album
of the Year". Total EBM bliss. If you don't
have this album, get up right now and get it, and
if you don't have the money, steal it. With all
the lacklustre releases this year, from even the
bigger/well known bands in the scene, I felt the
scene was indeed on it's way down. This album has
restored my faith that EBM/Electro will live on.
To get a sense of how this album sounds, think
the best parts of VAC, Decoded Feedback, Negative
Format and Controlled Fusion then throw in a bit
of Skinny Puppy and FLA!"

"Estramay
Aleph is the long awaited debut album from the
UKs future of EBM, VoID CoNSTRUCT. The duo have
recently made a name for themselves after
appearing at a number of big festivals and also
with a special performance opening for Front 242
in London. The band conjure up images of
Frontline Assembly vs Wumpscut vs VNV Nation
which in itself creates an original sound.
Combining harsh vocals with hard Electro beats,
this CD is definitely one for the dancefloors and
is one to watch!!!"

"Cyber,
EBM, Industrial/techno call it what you like
these are it and more. In a scene dominated by
mainland European bands VoID CoNSTRUCT stand out
as they are English. The range of styles on this
album is diverse from gentle trancey, spacey
tracks to pounding techno breaks interspersed
with diverse film samples (from Pi to Alien).
Unlike many debut albums, VoID CoNSTRUCT do not
seem to have compromised their sound to fit any
particular sound, rather they allow the album to
stand up on its own merits. Probably the most
noticeable thing about the whole album is its
different layers and intelligence, gentle
melodies twisted with hard dance beats...this
band has all the signs of making it very
big."
