ABOUT US
We’re a friendly group of cyclists and walkers based in Co. Durham and Wearside, UK. We span all ages and backgrounds but our common aim is to maintain and promote the Consett-Sunderland cycle path, our corner of the National Cycle Network. Working as volunteer Rangers for Sustrans, we carry out minor maintenance on the route, cutting back vegetation, maintaining signs, and other tasks. Major problems / suggestions are reported to local authorities.

We enjoy getting together socially, whether it’s a group ride or a pub meal and a chat.

The group is co-ordinated by our liaison ranger Raymond Wilson, who arranges group meetings to discuss problems and opportunities on the route, and organises workdays, giving us the chance to tackle large sections of the path at once, as a team.
