Sharks hit Bidford on rebound

We asked for a reaction after the defeat against Catshill and we got one with the Sharks playing with commitment and style in a 12-0 win over a Bidford Town team who never gave up until; the final whistle.
The Sharks opened the scoring after 15 seconds when Callum Parker found himself clean through on goal. he slotted his chance past the on rushing keeper. the Sharks created several chances with Sam Langston and connor Thomasson well from midfield but it took until the 10th minute for the Sharks to extend their lead when Connor Thomasson headed back a goal kick intro the path of Callum Parker. He shot past the keeper to make it 2-0. Almost immediately the Sharks made it 3-0 this time Andrew Murphy struck a shot which was well saved by the keeper and as all good strikers should do Callum followed up to slot the ball into the net to make it 3-0. The first 20 minutes finished with the score line line at 3-0. With the Sharks completely dominating the play and Bidford only threatening on the break. The Sharks were keeping possession well with James Ridge and Andrew Murphy providing the threat from the wide areas.
The Sharks
started the 2nd 20 minutes period with a bang and should have increased their
lead when James ridge was denied by a good save. but within a minute J Wood
scored a spectacualr goal from distance hitting a dipping shot from 25 yards out
to make it 4-0. James Ridge made it 5-0 with a good individual run beating 2
Bidford defenders and knocking the ball past the keeper. Kieran Burns got
his name onto the score sheet when J wood and Jack rule combing well. Jack's
cross found Kieran who made no mistake.From the kick off Jai Gilchrist almost
made it 7 when good play by Andrew Murphy set up the chance. Jai's shot was
cleared off the line. James Ridge made it 7 when he returned a goal kick first
time into the net giving the keeper no chance.
The Sharks then scored their best team goal when Jordan Slade played a superb
ball down the line into James Ridges path . James got round the last defender
and hit a cross into Jai Gilchrist's path. This time Jai made no mistake and
made it 8-0. Woody nearly made it 9-0 when he managed to dribble past 3 players
through on goal. This time his shot was dragged narrowly past the post. 6 goals
scored in the 2nd 20 was abetter return for the chances created.
Bidford battled hard and made it more difficult for the Sharks in the final period but nearly opened their account when a good through ball by Jack Rule put James ridge through on goal. This time the keeper made an excellent save. James Ridge got the 10th when a good pass by Liam Dayus found J Wood on the right wing. His cross was met first time by James Ridge to reach double figures. J Wood was showing some crossing abilty on the right wing. Sam Langston made it 11-0 when he picked up a ball just outside the area beat 3 players an rifled a Brazilian style shot in the roof of the net. Sam Kangtson doubled his tally just before the end when good play by Woody and Jai Gilchrist set up Sam who had the time and space to lauch another rocket into the net.
The game soon finished with the Sharks pre season games coming to an end. Lets hope the we can play some football in a similar style to today's performance.
