Catshill to strong for Sharks
Goal Scorers :- Sam Langston, Callum Parker
Warndon Sharks wanted a tough game and they certainly got that tonight when a skilful and tough Catshill team opened the eyes of the Sharks players and coaches.
The Sharks
started well enough and took the lead with a Callum Parker goal but afterwards
were made to work hard to keep Catshill at bay. With the Sharks trying to integrate
several new players into the team including a trialist and also playing players
in new positions it was always going to be difficult. Catshill pace and power
were the decisive differences between the teams as Catshill took control.
Catshill were good enough to take advantage of any weaknesses and went into a
4-1 lead. The Sharks did create chances and should have kept the score line
closer but if you miss your chances this is what happens.
Sam Langston scored a goal to reduce the arrears but the final say came from Catshill to make it 5-2.
The Sharks will learn from this and hopefully we will put these errors right for the games to come.
The Sharks have had 3 friendlies with 2 off them against very good opposition. If the Sharks are going to maintain the form of the last 2 seasons we will need to sharpen up. The main thing is we have learned from these matches where we need to improve and we will try to do this over the next few games.
