City boys just have too much for Sharks

Warndon Sharks first game of a new season was against the Worcester City U12 team .

The Sharks competed well but it was Worcester who kept the ball better and took the lead when defensive uncertainty led to the opening goal.

Worcester's midfield proved to strong after this and the Sharks were chasing shadows for a while and Worcester looked as if they would score another goal. But against the run of play the Sharks equalised when a quick break was finished off by Matt Sowden who was looking sharp. After this the Sharks had the better of teh game and could have take the lead . But in the end missed chances cost the Sharks and they were made to pay by Worcester whose forward was not as charitable as he took his chance well from a narrow angle. After this the Worcester team took control and comfortable repelled any Sharks attacks and scored a late goal to give the score line a fair reflection of the play.
