WVFC Tigers U11's register their first home victory of the season over coming Oldbury Park Tigers 5 - 3 again capping off a second half free scoring comeback.
Parents pick of Man of the Match was hat trick hero Jack Davies who continued his very productive goal scoring form into the third match of the season.....

0 - 1 Again for the third match running the WVFC Tigers conceded the opening goal of a match failing to effectively  clear their defensive lines when under no effective pressure from an up field Oldbury Park punt.

1 - 1 Jack Davies squared the game with a well taken strike from a left hand side direct corner delivered by Cameron Pinches

1 - 2 History repeated itself when a non clearing Warndon defence gifted the lead to Oldbury Park when they had several opportunities to clear the ball.

Half Time 1 - 2 to Oldbury Park, on the balance of play Warndon should have been on level terms

2 - 2 Lewis Kirkpatrick finished in composed manner the culmination of a very well worked passing interlude which saw the ball worked from Warndon's Goalkeeper Richard Burman to midfield and through Oldbury Park's midfield and defence. The best goal of the game and a great example of passing and movement with the ball on the ground.

2 - 3 Warndon simply lost possession from their own goal kick did not then press the ball or tackle effectively.

3 - 3 Jack Davies finished well when Lewis Kirkpatrick did not give up on chasing down a long ball which Oldbury Park could not defend.

4 - 3 The matches seventh goal and the first time that Warndon established a lead with the final hat trick goal from Jack Davies with a shot from distance that took a slight deflection before hitting the net.

5 - 3 Mark Wilson poacher's effort from a direct corner from the right hand side.

The nine boys of Warndon, with Thomas Evans missing notched their second win out of the three match to date season with a 5 - 3 win against Oldbury Park Tigers, for the third game running they found the opposition to be bigger in physical terms but again showed their willingness not be bullied in to submission. Again they conceded the first goal, again they went into the half time break losing the encounter, again they conclusively won the second half in terms of goals scored, possession and territorial advantage.

The squad again showed fitness levels, determination and team ability which will be tested next week when the ranks are again to be further depleted. A good game played in the right spirit by both teams on a dry, hard surface.
