THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THAT HIT OTTERY ST.MARY AND CAUSED FLASH FLOODING WITH LOCALISED HAIL

The photos below show the thunderstorm over Ottery as seen from Bradninch. The storm was unusual as it developed and stayed stationary for around 2 hours caused by the storm pivoting around a low pressure that tracked across Devon. As the low moved into the English Channel the storm degraded and moved westwards by this time there was only moderate rainfall.

This storm caused severe flooding to Ottery St.Mary with large accumulations of hail.

Photos below taken at 1:55am of the storm.
